Version VersionOur 2006 tandem meeting will take place in Greven-Hüttrup, between Münster
and Osnabrück. This will enable us to quickly get to the hills of the Teutoburger Wald, and also
offer flat rides in the Münsterland.
After last year's success, we'll again try to offer a family ride as well as medium and long rides
each day.
We will be based at the Naturfreundehaus Greven.
Please do not contact them directly!
The Naturfreundehaus is located in woods and heath typical for the area, within the nature
reserve Elting-Mühlbach.
The house offers 40 beds in 2-, 3- and 4-bed rooms, there are no en-suite facilities. We have
block-booked the whole house, as well as the camp field in case you prefer to use your tent.
More comfortable accommodation can be found in the ***-Landhotel Große-Drieling
(www.mein-ferienhof.de), about a
mile away.
For campervans and caravans, there are two camp sites about 4-6 miles away,
Campingplatz Westheide
and Campingplatz Waldsee.
Full board with breakfast buffet, packed lunch and dinner will be provided. The food will be
specifically prepared to meet cyclists' needs, rich in carbohydrate and vitamins. There will be a
barbecue one night.
Take the train to Osnabrück (25 miles) or Münster (15 miles). Even closer, changing trains again once,
would be Brock-Ostbevern (9 miles) or Greven (4 miles, every 30 minutes from Münster).
Visitors from abroad can fly to Osnabrück-Münster (1.5 miles).
Arrival will be on Wednesday 24th May, with dinner served from 7pm. Departure is
on Sunday 28th May, after breakfast.
Our ride leaders will take us through the Münsterland and Teutoburger Wald, mainly on minor roads. There will be a short family ride, a medium and a long ride each day.

The following family rides will be offered:
Distance and speed of these rides will be somewhere between the family and long rides. They are therefore suitable for the faster families, and adult teams taking it a bit easier.
The following medium rides will be offered:
There will be three rides covering a distance of about 60 miles, averaging 12 - 14 mls/hr. Additional food will be bought from bakeries along the way, we'll also stop at interesting points en route. After all, we'll be on holiday, not on the run.

Cost includes bed linen, towels are not included. For own bed linen, 5 EUR will be reimbursed at the
registration.

Within a week of your booking, you will receive a confirmation giving you the
actual cost and the payment details. The booking will become valid after payment has been received.
Final date for your booking is 28th February 2006.
Guests are welcome to join the rides, there will be no cost for Tandem Club or CTC members.
It will also be possible for guests to join us for dinner, in this case let us know before
22nd May 2006.
